Objectives

The Pharma-Diagnostics thematic group is one of the newer groups within Forum MedTech Pharma, having been founded on 18 June 2001 with an opening event on this thematic series. Alongside presentation events held each year two weeks after Whitsun, with integrated exhibitions, during the year close contact is made and maintained with a range of partners from the worlds of industry and science.

One of the most promising areas within pharmaceutical research, pharma-diagnostics has assumed an important status at universities, clinics and in research within the pharmaceutical industry due to groundbreaking successes in recent years, for example in pharmacogenetics, chip technology and bioinformatics.

Initial results

Through membership of the forum, the high number of young and small to medium-sized companies in this area enjoys the outstanding opportunity to present their research results, alongside new products and developments, to a select audience. Events in the Pharma-Diagnostics thematic series are used by speakers, exhibitors and participants for presentational purposes, but also for the initiation of cooperation agreements.

In terms of subjects, the Pharma-Diagnostic thematic group takes in medication research, therapy and diagnostics and is designed to serve all those from science and industry interested in this innovative area.
