The excellent feedback from participants, exhibitors and speakers in 2008 plus the dynamics of development of medicine technology and pharmaceuticals form an excellent basis for this year's congress 'MedTech Pharma 2010 - Medizin Innovativ'. The congress will focus on innovation in the health care industry which is in many ways the key to success in this sophisticated international field. The on-going introduction of new technologies and strategies ensures international competitiveness, improves the success rate of medical treatments plus the increase in cost efficiency relieves the costs for the health care system.

Cooperation within the industry is indispensable in all stages of innovation, from the idea to successful clinical testing to marketing. Complex systems demand a tight network of experts, potential users and payers in order to combine width and breadth of knowledge with a farsighted view of the whole field. Strategies to verify the necessity and efficiency of new products and solutions are vital for reimbursement of costs. It?s becoming increasingly important in these times of globalisation and regional clustering to make the right decisions in the choice of strategic partners

The congress as an interdisciplinary and trans-sectoral interaction platform will make an effective contribution to the future success of the medical field. The latest knowledge in future oriented theme related areas will be presented in the plenary lectures and delivered theme related at firsthand in the series Healthcare Electronics & IT and Personalised Healthcare. A large exhibition provides space for the presentation of innovative products and solutions.

bmbf - Med-WINGThe BMBF-Symposium 'Medi-WING - Medical technology within the BMBF Framework Programme WING' runs parallel to both series and is integrated into the congress. The symposium focuses on the presentation of industry-led collaborative projects that are currently supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) within the national funding programmes 'Bioactive Implants' and 'Molecular Imaging - MoBiTech'. Further, lectures on innovation barriers and market environment will be given.

The conditions will be perfect to facilitate congress participants from the fields of industry and science, Medical technology and pharmaceuticals, development and clinical applications to receive relevant information and do quality networking. In the long run helping us achieve more innovation in the medical field for the benefit of the patients and to further increase the efficiency in the medical field.
